Article 5 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states:
“No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.”
It’s time for a global conversation about human rights. It’s time to consider the values that unite us as one human family. And now, for the very first time, citizens of the world can sign the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), a document that calls for freedom, safety, and personal and political rights for everyone around the world.
