The developments of the last week in Afrin …. Sat. Feb. 17, 2018
With the defeat of the IS in Syria and especially after the liberation of Raqqa in October 2017, the Turkish state intensified its threats and attacks against the Democratic Federation of the North of Syria In this context began the Turkish invasion and war against Afrin on January 20, 2018 violating international law and the sovereignty of its neighboring country.
The Turkish army has launched this war in cooperation with jihadist groups from the ranks of the FSA. Many of them are ex members of Al-Qaeda or EI.
[1] War and Humanitarian Situation
Since the beginning of the war, those who have suffered the most are Afrin’s civilian population: Kurds, Arabs, Turkmen, Armenians, Ezidis, Alawites, Christians and Muslims. According to hospital staff in Avrin, more than 160 civilians have been killed between January 20, 2018 and February 12, 2018 due to attacks by the Turkish army and its associated Jihadist groups of the FSA against the people of Afrin,
Also 480 were injured, including children, women and the elderly.

[2. 3. 4] From 5 to 7 February, the Turkish air forces did not carry out air strikes, although it intensified shelling by artillery. Many schools, centers of democratic self-management such as the Education, Trade and Agriculture Councils, as well as the Heyva Health Center Sister, mosques, cemeteries and hundreds of civil houses have become targets of artillery.
On February 8, the bombings of the Turkish air forces began again in a way even more tense and cruel, especially against civilians and infrastructure. Along with the attacks directly against civil settlements, the water purification plant in the town of Metina (Shera district), the central water station of the Jinderese district, one of the two bakeries main and main markets in the Rajo district and an olive factory production of oil were targeted by air strikes and bombings by the Turkish army and its allies.
The historical heritage such as the old Betal Aga Palace in Jeleme (Jinderese district) also suffered serious damage. The total number of schools damaged or destroyed reached 27 by the end of the week. In just two days in the Jindirese district, more than 200 houses were devastated by bombing and bombing of the Turkish army on 9 and 10 February.

Due to this situation, many people had to leave their homes or became homeless. Many families found refuge in old caves or basements. But the majority of the displaced population is taking refuge in the center of the city of Afrin.
During the last days, the center from the city of Afrin, which is exclusively a civil area, has also become a principal target of the Turkish aggressions. Almost every day, the center and its surroundings are being attacked by Turkish artillery or air attacks.
On February 9 in the Bilbile district again two entire families were murdered and buried under the ruins of their bombed houses. On 13 February, artillery attacks impacted near the Afrin hospital.
Civilian casualties are reported daily, displacement and struggle to survive without electricity or water. In villages in the region border areas that were invaded, locals and refugees were kidnapped, beaten, robbed and threatened by the Turkish army and its associated jihadist groups.

Feb. 16, 2018 The Long March arrived in Geneva demanding International intervention to stop the Turkish terror in Afrin and elsewhere.
Among the areas that have been under permanent attack are the Ezidi Baflune villages, Arab Weran and Omera in the district of Shera. Clashes continued in the districts of Rajo, Bilbile, Shera, Shiye and Jinderese, accompanied by Turkish air attacks and heavy artillery.
Fighting around the villages on the front lines continued day and night. According to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) since the beginning of the attacks against Afrin, so far 98 of their fighters lost their lives in defense of Efrin.
The death of 862 Turkish soldiers and jihadist members of the FSA was confirmed by the SDF. It has reported 668 bombings of Turkish warplanes and 16 attacks with helicopters. 2645 times the Afrin region was hit by tanks and heavy artillery bombardments. 517 direct confrontations occurred between the SDF and the Turkish army together with their jihadi accomplices.
In addition, two Turkish helicopters and two UAVs (drones) were shot down. 51 armored vehicles of the Turkish army were destroyed and 15 Turkish army (tanks)were destroyed and 15 more damaged by SDF forces.

[5] [6] Resistance of people in Afrin
Despite the difficult situation in which the Afrin people live, they do not give up. The solidarity and mutual aid have become the greatest weapons against the war in Turkey, a war that develops especially against civilians. The people in the center of the city have opened their homes to house other families, who were displaced due to the war.
Many people have donated blood to cover the needs of the injured. The Heyva Sor Kurda has distributed milk for the children and other aid to the victims of the war.
After the mobilizations of thousands of people who had come to Afrin from other regions North of Syria showing their solidarity on February 7, the people of Afrin continued to make appeals to the international community to take measures to stop the war of Turkish occupation.
On February 8, the Kongra Star women’s movement held a public event in the city of Afrin in which they requested a global solidarity campaign: “Mujeres Alzaos For Afrin. “
[7] On February 13, thousands of women protested in the streets of the city of Afrin against the invasion of the Turkish state, while near them the Turkish army was still bombing the city.
On February 15, thousands of people from the Afrin canton went to Jinderese, who has been under intense attacks by the Turkish army and associated jihadist groups for 27 days to protest against the Turkish war against Afrin and the abduction of Abdullah Ocalan on February 15, 1999.
Solidarity with Afrin
Throughout the world, people have protested against the war of the Turkish state and its jihadist groups associates In all the cities of the Democratic Federation of Northern Syria have continued the daily mass protests against the Turkish invasion.
On February 10, a delegation of deputies and members of the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG, for his initials in English) in South Kurdistan / Iraq came to Afrin to get an idea of the situation and demand political measures from governments and international organizations.

Turkey hits Kurds with toxic gas, 6 civilians injured – reports Turkish forces engaged in Operation Olive Branch against Kurdish militias in the northwest of Syria have used gas, Syrian state media SANA reports. At least six civilians have been hospitalized.

Returning from Afrin, the Head of the delegation and Prime Minister Eli Halo (PDK) appealed to the KRG, the UN and international aid organizations to support the people of Afrin. Calling the Kurdish unit Eli Halo declared: “I am convinced the people of Afrin will succeed, because they show a strong will and resistance. “
[8] The different NGOs and the Heyva Sor Kurda have organized humanitarian aid campaigns for the Afrin people. Some medical supplies have already arrived at the Heyva Sor Kurda in Afrin. The campaigns continue in different countries as there is an urgent need, especially for medical equipment, medicines, child nutrition and milk.
[9] Across Europe, Australia, in different Asian countries, Latin America and North America, the actions and solidarity meetings to stop the war in Afrin continued. They organized long marches in different European countries: since February 8, 200 internationalists march from Luxembourg to Strasbourg.
[10] Other long marches took place in Sweden and Switzerland with hundreds of participants Since February 12, a long march from Lausanne is heading towards representation of the UN in Geneva.
Following the call of Afrin’s women “Women rise to Afrin”, women in many European and Latin American countries organized local protests and sent messages of solidarity to the women who resisted in Afrin.
[11] In Shakran prison in Turkey, political prisoners continue their hunger strike in shifts which began on February 5 in support of the Afrin resistance. In many countries, deputies, local and regional councils and NGOs asked the UN, national governments or the senator American John McCain to take urgent measures to stop the war in Turkey against Afrin, recognize the rights of the Kurdish people and guarantee a political solution to the crisis In Syria.
Some political parties have also criticized the participation of their own governments in this war (for example, the supply of arms to Turkey) and demanded sanctions against Turkey.

Afrin ”terrorists” demonstrate for freedom of their leader Ocalan
[12] Statements and analysis
While the Turkish government could not achieve “a quick military victory” as they had announced, the government has been escalating day by day its policies of war and repression internal and external to the country, accompanied by openly fascist and nationalist approaches and rhetoric.
Any voice against the war (for example, on social networks) within Turkey is answered with detention, with censorship and oppression of the Turkish state. The fundamental democratic rights like freedom of expression and opinion have been abolished. Again, during the last week, hundreds of Turkish citizens were imprisoned for opposing the war in Afrin.
[13] The plans of nationalist expansion of installing “a second Ottoman Empire” are no longer hidden, as made evident by Erdogan’s rhetoric and expressions, such as giving an “Ottoman slap” to the USA . What the Turkish President Erdogan is trying to achieve in Afrin are openly plans for “ethnic cleansing”.
On the one hand, Turkey is blackmailing the EU with sending new waves of refugees into Europe and with forecasts of IS attacks in European cities, if it does not conquer Afrin. On the other hand, the Turkish state has threatened the USA. if it does not withdraw from the Minbij area.
In this context, neither the government of the USA. neither the EU nor the UN have taken clear measures to stop the Turkish war against Afrin, which is violating international and humanitarian law.
The US only pointed out that the Turkish war against Afrin would slow down the military operation against the IS in Derazore, since the SDF would stop concentrating on a single war front.
In addition, there have been several discussions and special sessions in different parliaments during the last week, for example in the European Parliament. Unfortunately, the results of these discussions remained at a symbolic level, calling for a decrease in conflict and expressing sympathy with the people in Afrin. So far, there is a lack of concrete measures to stop the war and genocide in Afrin.
Meanwhile the double game of current state policies again becomes obvious with the new coalition agreement of the German government, declaring its “special interest in good relations with Turkey”. The voices of the German public that demanded the end of arms exports to Turkey were ignored.

Turkey has over 2000 tanks
The arms trade-like the new agreements between the German company Rheinmetall (manufacturer of tanks and weapons) and its associated Turkish company BMC- have been approved by the German government. In this way, the German tank Leopard 2 can be updated and used by the Turkish army attacking civilians in Afrin.
[14] While economic and hegemonic interests dominate political decisions and actions, a political solution for Afrin in accordance with international human rights and ethical human laws seems to be difficult.

Afrin City. an oasis of peace.. now suffering random bombing by Turkey

The local YPG militia post a video of the destruction of another invading Turkish Tank. Turkey has the 2nd army in Nato with 2000 tanks and has been given a free hand by Russia for round the clock aerial bombing.

Islam Must Be Stopped If Western Civilization Is To Survive

Islam has spawned many sects that are master practitioners of the art of double standards. As far as Muslims are concerned, what is good for Muslims is not good for the non-Muslims; and what is bad for Muslims is good for non-Muslims.
What complicates matters is that there is no way of knowing which of the dozens of at-each-other’s-throat sects is the legitimate Islam. As soon as Muhammad died, his religion of peace became a house of internal war: jockeying for power and leadership started, sects formed and splintered into sub-sects, and bloodletting began in earnest.

The internal infighting in Islam is presently playing in full color – in red – most dramatically, in the Iraq and Afghanistan and other Islamic theaters. Shiite raid Sunni civilians, slaughter them like sheep, and toss their bodies like trash in the streets or the rivers. The Sunnis return the favor with just as much viciousness and savagery.
Question: If this is the way these Muslims treat each other, how would they deal with the infidels if they had the chance?
Answer: These devoted followers of Muhammad would deal with the infidels exactly the way Muhammad did: behead the non-believers, take them as slaves to hold or sell, or make them pay back-breaking jizya – poll taxes.

Some may object that writings like this are little more than hate-mongering and fanning the fire that rages between Islam and the non-Islamic world. They may further play the Islamic apologists’ few, well-worn propaganda cards as evidence for their contention that Islam is not what its detractors claim.
Here are the few favorite cards:

♦ “There is no compulsion in religion,” says the Quran. (But the full context is never shown.)
♦ Islam means “peace,” so Islam is a religion of peace.
♦ “For you, your religion, and for me, my religion,” Muhammad reportedly said.
The Muslims and their apologists quickly run out of their few cards, and the rest of the Islamic deck is all about intolerance, hatred and violence toward the infidels, toward all others who are not true Muslims, and even toward those who consider themselves Muslims. Shiites, for instance, judge the Sunnis as traitors to Islam, and Sunnis condemn the Shiites as heretics. Each side deems the other worthy of death and hellfire.
This internecine Islamic war of the religion of peace is not confined to the Shiite-Sunni divide. There are so many internal divisions within each side that listing and describing them comprehensively would be an encyclopedic work.
So, who is right? What are the facts about Islam and how does Islam impact the ever-shrinking village Earth and its inhabitants? Admittedly, this is a huge question and cannot be answered satisfactorily in one article. However, some facts can be presented to help the reader decide.
There is no need to belabor the point that Islam is not, and has never been, a religion of peace. The word Islam is derived from taslim, which purely means “submission,” while the term for “peace” is solh. Another derivation of the word taslim is “salema”, which means “good health” and so on.
Irrespective of what the term Islam may mean, the facts on the ground conclusively demonstrate Islam’s violent nature from its very inception. No need to go back to the time of Muhammad and examine the historical records. Just a few contemporary events should make the point.
Here is a partial list: the savage Shiite-Sunni bloodletting in Iraq; the barbarism of the resurgent Taliban in Afghanistan; the genocide in Sudan’s Darfur region; the Somali killings; the Iranian mullahs’ murder of their own people and support of mischief abroad; the incessant terrorist acts of Hamas, Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad on Israel, and numerous fatwas on infidels and the apostates; the bombing of Shiite mosques in Pakistan and Iraq and the Shiite retaliation against soft, innocent and civilian targets.
Clearly, there is no place on the planet where Muslims reside that is in peace from the religion of peace. America, Spain, France, Netherlands, England, Thailand, France, India and Indonesia have already been attacked, while others, such as Denmark, have been threatened and sanctioned.

Stretching the benefit of the doubt beyond limits, one may believe that all these acts of horrors are committed by a small minority of thugs and radicals who happened to be Muslims. Fine, let us ignore all those “fringes” for now – those who are giving Islam a bad reputation. And never mind Saudi Arabia, the cradle of barbarism, fixed in formaldehyde since Islam’s inception. Also, let us overlook the dastardly Shiite fanatics presently ruling (ruining) the great nation of Iran. Iranian Shiite Hitlerists are hell-bent on wiping Israel off the face of the planet, while viciously devastating Iran’s own largest minority – the Baha’is, people universally-recognized as law-abiding and peaceful.
Islamic rules are called Sharia law or the Islamic law. Sharia law is a misnomer, for laws must be squarely based on justice and fairness to all, while Sharia law is nothing more than a primitive set of dogmata stipulated by men for the benefit of Muslim men.
Sharia law disenfranchises women from their legitimate equal rights with men; prescribes barbaric punishments such as stoning, amputation of limbs and death. Sharia law, contrary to what its advocates claim, does not limit application of its draconian provisions to Muslims only: it considers any and all disputes involving Muslims with non-Muslims also in its purview to adjudicate. Sharia law is inherently arbitrary, obsolete, and discriminatory to the extreme. Wherever Sharia law rules, injustice prevails. Non-Muslims, women, and even children are victimized by its biased and cruel provisions.
Sharia law represents a twist to the concept of Blind Justice: It is indeed blind to justice. Even a cursory examination of Sharia’s family law, for instance, proves unequivocally its blindness to justice: it makes the shameful past laws, such as Jim Crow laws, seem as paragons of fairness by comparison.
These are the conditions on the ground wherever Sharia rules. Violence of all forms is endemic to Islamic law and is not confined to any fringes. Sharia law itself is the fringe–a fringe that is oppressive, hateful of others and violent to the core. Presently, fanatical Islam is lashing out with mad fury before its own final demise. The “infidel” world has been complicit in the surge of Islamism through its mistakes, complacency, and greed.
Warning: Islam is not a religion but a political ideology which incites hate, violence, intolerance and terror. Islamists are terminators. You cannot bargain with them. You cannot reason with them. They do not feel pity or remorse, or fear. And they absolutely will not stop, ever, until all the infidels are dead or have submitted to Islam. “The only language the Islamists understand is the language of brute force.
In non-Muslim lands, Islamism, flush with Petrodollars, has been accelerating in its drive for the world Caliphate and is moving at the speed of light by building more mosques, printing more indoctrinating Islamic books, imposing more its presence in the western culture, in our schools and university campuses, bullying, intimidating and challenging more Christians and other peaceful people of faith and by using our democratic laws against us.
In the Islamdom, they can dish out insults to non-Muslims; arrest Christians, Bahia’s or the Jews just for praying. They can confiscate their Holy books and toss them in the trash. They call the Jews pigs and monkeys, and spit on anyone that isn’t Muslim. But they go into frenzies of righteous outrage at the slightest criticism of their barbaric and highly dangerous beliefs.
They never need to challenge the existing political order in our country, but can achieve all their goals without bothering or violating the Constitution of the U.S. because that Constitution guarantees complete government non-interference toward religion. Finally, and the most important element perhaps is the extreme coziness and appeasement by the current U.S. administration towards Islam, Muslims and radical Muslims which will recklessly and unknowingly drag the whole country and her citizens into an everlasting Islamic inferno, an inferno similar to the Islamic Republic of Iran and other Islamic terrorist countries.
A constitutional amendment must be passed quickly defining Islam as a hostile political force with a global totalitarian agenda, and as such is totally inimical to our constitution and our national security, and that further to this definition, all practicing Muslims must either renounce this cult or be deported to their countries of origin, and all mosques must be demolished, since their goal is to propagate political propaganda, which has nothing whatsoever to do with ‘religion’ – let alone one of ‘peace’. That’s going to be the final ‘solution’ for Islam in America.
“Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.” Qur’an:9:5
“Fight those who do not believe until they all surrender, paying the protective tax in submission.” Qur’an:9:29
We must also end the deadly practice of “Political Correctness.” Truth, only naked truth, can set us free. And freedom is our greatest gift of life. Life without freedom is death disguised as life. Remember Patrick Henry’s cry: Give me liberty or give me death. Humanity cannot afford, and must not ignore, the emergence of the latest threat to its very existence on this planet. We must fight for life, for liberty, for freedom and end the nightmare of Islamic hellfire.

Will The British Government Control Sexual Values Of Its Citizens?

Pompeii Meets Piccadilly?
(These are my views as a woman living in England, on how the culture and spirit of my country has changed over 50 years. Why the country does not feel protected or strong any more, how it has lost, and is losing it values and decency, and how we are daily losing our free speech.)

Apparently, over 100 million people pass through Piccadilly Circus, in London’s west end each year. Known for its large illuminated advertising space called ‘Piccadilly Lights’, which has recently been refurbished, and for its many theatre’s, shops and restaurants; it is one of those iconic landmarks, a tourist attraction and meeting place.
British people will often refer to any crowded place as being ‘just like Piccadilly Circus’. It is one of those colloquial saying’s we have, which even if you haven’t been there, will often be recognised for the state you are referring to. It is loud, busy and chaotic. When you visit Piccadilly Circus you can keep going round in circles. It is where many roads meet.
It has featured in such films as Whatsoever a Man Soweth (1917) The 39 Steps, (1935) Don’t Look Now (1973) and V for Vendetta (2005)

In 2002, it is reported that Yoko Ono, widow of the late John Lennon, paid for a banner to be displayed for 3 months in Piccadilly Circus to display the words from his song Imagine; “Imagine all the people living life in peace” to promote world peace in the wake of September 11th.
In theory, it is one of those places which will demand your attention with its messages. You can’t get advertising much bigger or bolder in the UK than in Piccadilly Circus. You just need the right amount of money.

However, this week a much quieter event should have been taking place there. Passers by and tourists may have been totally unaware of its presence as their attention would be averted by the bright lights of advertising. The premier showing of a documentary called ‘Voices of the Silenced’ was scheduled to be taking place to a private audience at the Vue Cinema.
The film had advertised on its website that it would be highlighting the goals of sexual politics and the silencing of views which are in opposition to the pansexual cultures of the pre-Christian Graeco-Roman world.
It also asked an important question:
Will the church recognize the dangers of capitulation to state control of sexual values and a return to the ancient cultures that its Jewish roots taught it to reject?
The organization, Core Issues Trust who support people who wish to move away from same-sex attraction, had filmed their documentary across seven countries, speaking with various professionals on the subject, and it contained interviews with people who had voluntarily sought counseling.
However, it is reported that after details were obtained by Pink News, an LGBT news publisher, 600 people petitioned for the screening to be cancelled; which indeed, at the last minute, it was.
In the many interviews which I have listened to which feature Mike Davidson, who is the director of Core Issues he continually re-iterates that they never promote ‘gay-cure’ or ‘conversion’. They are terms which are continually used by opponents who wish to discredit the help that they offer.
Baroness Barker from the House of Lords made the following statement for Pink News:

“People who preach gay conversion therapy are zealots who are prepared to cause great harm to LGBT people in order to perpetuate their warped view of the world. Happy, healthy societies should send them packing.”
If we are in any doubt that we are living in a society that is being dictated to on its sexual values, showing no consideration to another point of view, then the boycotting of a film called The Voices of the Silenced has pretty much summed up the frustration and the hypocrisy that many people are witnessing and feel unable to express.
What happened to free speech and what an aptly named film.
Up Pompeii
Apparently, over 3 million people also visit the ancient ruins of Pompeii in Southern Italy each year. Eager to view the city which was first discovered in the 16th century, ongoing excavations have revealed a preserved city that sheds light on how people lived in the ancient world.
When I visited it was a quiet, peaceful and sunny day with very few tourists.
When you are there you are always aware of the presence of the volcano, Mt Vesuvius which dominates the skyline and which buried Pompeii under volcanic ash when it erupted in A.D 79, on an equally sunny morning.
An eyewitness during the time of the eruption who lived across the Bay of Naples recorded “Darkness fell, not the darkness of a moonless or cloudy night, but as if the lamp had been put out in a dark room”. (Pliny)
The excavated city reveals a well designed and affluent city where wealthy Romans would have resided or visited. There are many temples all dedicated to different gods, Apollo, Jupiter, Isis, Fortuna Augusta, Vespasian. There are political messages etched on the walls of the houses, together with rude critical messages aimed at specific citizens (a bit like face book or twitter)!
The many fresco’s and artwork discovered depict a lifestyle that was indeed pansexual. The images can be quite shocking. Some are pornographic. Eroticism was valued and magic was routinely practised. It is very clear without a doubt that it was a life that was not hidden. Prostitution was legal. Slavery was rife. In fact, Pompeii seems to be known for its unlimited sexual licence. Anything goes.
Contrary to people thinking that Pompeii is the revelation of a bygone culture that has died it is evident that all of those practices are being dictated and resurrected into this present age.
Bringing on the Gladiators
Somewhere, behind the scene’s you sense there is a spirit taking great pleasure in watching people fight it out, pitching each other, against each other. Thumbs up for letting them live, thumbs down for silencing them for good.
Is there anything noble left fighting for? Is it true…?
“What we do in life… echoes in eternity.”
Attempting to warn people of the dangers of an open and promiscuous society in a country which wants to promote the teaching of sexual practices, including pan-sexuality, as a compulsory topic to children from a very young age; people who do attempt to bring up any objection are subjected to being accused of being bigots or terrorists, or they are accused of practising a ‘certain type of religion’.
The certain type of religion they are referring to is actually one that wants to hold on to decency and value for all people, and it comes from many different concerned people. It is attempting to protect children from unwanted indoctrination.
On the whole, many churches in the UK are not speaking up very much about this, but rather are embracing a politically correct stance. It is becoming a weak church with no respect.
Christianity in some parts of Europe is also going underground, in readiness for a persecution like that seen in Roman times where non adherence or worship to a governments values resulted in death.
Doing it for the Children
In the opening of the new Piccadilly Lights you will see many subliminal messages in the following YouTube Video clip.
One should ask what was learnt from the history of Pompeii and the eruption of Mount Vesuvius that plunged that city into darkness.
Did light shine in their darkness or did their darkness perceive it not?
Are you free or a slave of the Roman Empire?
If you stand very still in the middle of Picadilly Cicus you may ask yourself this question and think about the Voices of the Silenced.
